california budget is good.
Basically there is no winning for District 2
This is interesting. It appears they're leaning into closer to removing lines from the subway. SFTR's proposal. They certainly aren't going to be able to build a new subway or more branches. Its a shame no one fought to make the new T-subway have a crossover to the main subway as impossible a task as that would've been.
Lots of changes coming to folsom and howard. San Francisco may be a modern city yet.
Van Ness construction is so ridiculously slow.
SFMTA is really focusing on what they can do to correct things in the subway.
Caltrain is all of a sudden seeing passenger declines.
Jeez business plan for caltrain makes it look like the future is going to be super bright. One day they might be more successful than BART.
Samtrans seems to be actually doing good for fares for passengers but it really confuses me how they plan to afford this. I agree the out of SF fare is confusing easpecially since I sometime go to the first stop out of SF - brisbane just to avoid it and sometimes I get the out of SF fare. But I do think its fair and still work.
Every Agency should do this COA thing
Theres a lot of legislation in here. Probably good and bad that most of the federal stuff wouldnt get through but it feels like most of the state stuff only gets through if it has the most minimal effect.
Letters from our bay area transit agencies to ask MTC to figure out a regional transit fare policy. I'm skeptical to any effect.
Jeez I wish MTC had a report as thorough for transit as they do for building out their lexus lanes. Its succinct, clear and straightforward. Maybe I should be arguing for a regional transportation agency - LACMTA and Puget Sound Transit seem to get stuff done this well too.
